La livrea è stata curata dall’artista Georg Huber che ha utilizzato uno speciale tipo di aerografia per incarnare lo spirito del film tramutando la sua “visione” in realtà. Georg Huber ha iniziato la sua carriera negli anni 80 con le automobili. Oggi ha un atelier dove prendono vita le sue visioni. Georg ha iniziato a lavorare sulla K 1200 R all’inizio di giugno, il 50% del lavoro è stato fatto con l’aerografo, il resto totalmente a mano con uno speciale pennello. Il lavoro è stato ultimato nel tempo record di sole 3 settimane.

La colorazione della K 1200 R è stata studiata minuziosamente in ogni dettaglio, anche molti accessori sono stati installati per rendere ancor più aggressiva e filante la linea della moto. Gli accessori fanno parte della linea High Performance parts presentata lo scorso anno al salone di Colonia: Intermot. La nuova BMW Serie 1 Coupé

La nuova BMW Serie 1 Coupé si concentra sul vero divertimento di guida. La due porte compatta, dall’aspetto atletico, amplia la gamma della BMW Serie 1 che ha riscosso grande successo negli ultimi anni.

Equipaggiati di potenti motori a benzina e diesel, caratterizzati da un’agile maneggevolezza e un design provocatorio , i nuovi modelli invitano a godersi i momenti sportivi anche nel traffico giornaliero. Concepita come 2+2 posti con un bagagliaio separato dall’abitacolo e un divanetto posteriore di serie ribaltabile nel rapporto di 60 : 40.

la BMW Serie 1 Coupé offre un alto livello di funzionalità

Al centro dell’attenzione si trova il piacere di guida: la BMW Serie 1 Coupé dimostra come può essere intenso il divertimento di guida di un modello compatto, soprattutto quando viene combinato con un’efficienza esemplare.

Il divertimento si esprime soprattutto nella BMW 135i Coupé che raggiunge un livello prestazionale unico nella categoria delle compatte. Il modello top di gamma, riconoscibile esternamente dal pacchetto aerodinamico M leggermente modificato, fornito di serie, e al labbro sullo spoiler (gurney), viene alimentato da un motore 3,0 litri sei cilindri in linea con Twin Turbo ed iniezione diretta di benzina della seconda generazione (High Precision Injection). 225 kW/306 CV e una coppia massima di 400 newtonmetri creano le premesse perfette per definire dei nuovi parametri di riferimento nel campo della dinamica di guida.

Il propulsore turbo sempre pronto ad erogare la potenza richiesta, che è stato premiato in due categorie e nella classifica finale con l’ «Engine of the Year-Award» 2007, è il simbolo del tipico piacere di guida di BMW.

Il potenziale sportivo della BMW 135i Coupé offre una relazione eccellente a livello di economia di gestione. La due porte le cui prestazioni dinamiche non nemmeno il confronto con i modelli di categorie automobilistiche superiori, accelera in soli 5,3 secondi da 0 a 100 km/h. Il consumo medio di carburante nel ciclo di prova UE è di soli 9,2 litri per 100 chilometri.

La BMW 123d Coupé, nel cui cofano celebra la propria anteprima mondiale

il nuovo propulsore diesel 2,0 litri quattro cilindri con Variable Twin Turbo e iniezione Common-Rail, raggiunge una dimensione nuova di dinamica efficiente. Il motore costruito interamente in alluminio eroga una potenza di 150 kW/204 CV e consente delle prestazioni sportive che si esprimono ad esempio in un’accelerazione da 0 a 100 km/h in 7,0 secondi. Con un consumo medio di solo 5,2 litri per 100 chilometri nel ciclo ECE e un valore di CO2 di 138 grammi per chilometro, la BMW 123d Coupé si assicura il primo posto nella propria categoria. Questi valori di punta sono dovuti all’alta efficienza del nuovo motore e ai numerosi interventi di serie che hanno ottimizzato la gestione dell’energia nell’intera vettura. Anche queste misure fanno parte della strategia di sviluppo BMW EfficientDynamics che viene introdotta gradualmente nelle nuove varianti di motore di tutte le serie costruttive e determina una maggiore potenza accompagnata da un forte abbattimento dei valori di consumo e delle emissioni.

Le due motorizzazioni top di gamma vengono completate da un propulsore diesel. Come variante più economica della due porte sportiva, la BMW 120d Coupé completa la gamma di prodotti al momento di lancio del modello. La potenza di 130 kW/177 CV, erogata dal motore diesel ae un valore di CO2 di 128 grammi per chilometro definiscono il parametro di riferimento in questa categoria automobilistica a livello di efficienza e di emissioni di CO2.

AUTOMOBILI E PM10

I problemi ambientali sono divenuti prioritari negli ultimi anni per alcuni fenomeni che tutti noi abbiamo potuto osservare. Non più quindi argomenti per “scienziati” estremisti e catastrofici da film americano, ma questioni tangibili, osservabili e verificabili da ognuno di noi. Già in passato l’uomo ha dovuto affrontare problemi ambientali legati all’inquinamento: negli anni settanta le piogge acide, negli anni ottanta il buco nell’ozono e negli anni novanta, ma tutt’oggi presente, il riscaldamento globale el’effetto serra.
Alcuni studiosi ritengono che fenomeni estremi come nubifragi, tornado, siccità intense e prolungate, che avvengono sempre più frequentemente ed a basse latitudini, siano dovuti proprio al riscaldamento globale ed all’effetto serra. I principali responsabili dell’effetto serra sono proprio i cosiddetti gas serra (GHGs). Questo per quanto riguarda scale planetarie o comunque molto ampie.
A scala locale ciò che negli ultimi anni è emerso come il problema ambientale più incalzante è sicuramente l’inquinamento atmosferico. Sarebbe più corretto parlare però di inquinamenti atmosferici poiché le fonti, quindi le cause, sono numerose, anche se non sempre facilmente individuabili. Inoltre, per quanto riguarda il nostro paese, non tutte le zone sono uguali. Anzi, le differenze sono notevoli. Infatti ci sono alcune zone dove l’inquinamento atmosferico è elevatissimo come ad esempio Milano e la pianura padana. In altre zone il problema è meno pressante ma sicuramente non assente. Queste grandi differenze sono date da diversi motivi. Innanzitutto le emissioni nocive in atmosfera sono molto più concentrate nel “triangolo industriale”; ma la causa maggiore, e forse meno nota di queste differenze, sono le diverse condizioni climatiche. Infatti le Alpi che circondano la pianura padana formano una barriera invalicabile per i venti provenienti da nord-ovest. In questo modo, in assenza di vento, non c’è dispersione degli inquinanti.
Gli studi degli ultimi anni però sono molto preoccupanti.
In alcune zone d’Italia l’inquinamento da traffico veicolare è responsabile di quasi la metà dell’inquinamento atmosferico. Quantità enormi! Addirittura nella provincia di Milano l’inquinamento da traffico è pari al 70%!
Ma che cos’è in realtà questo inquinamento?
Le sostanze inquinanti sono molte e tutte derivanti dalla combustione dei carburanti all’interno del motore: ci sono gli SO (composti con atomi di zolfo, responsabili delle piogge acide), gli NOX (composti con atomi di azoto, sono tra i più dannosi), gli IPA (idrocarburi policiclici aromatici, microparticelle altamente cancerogene). Queste molecole, insieme ad altre in minore quantità, formano il cosiddetto articolato atmosferico (o PM10) di cui oggi tanto si sente parlare, la cui pericolosità e molto spesso cancerogenità è oggi scientificamente riconosciuta.
Ma non tutti i veicoli inquinano allo stesso modo. In generale vige la regola che più il veicolo è nuovo e meno inquina, poiché le normative sulle emissioni dei gas di scarico sono sempre più stringenti. Ad esempio recentemente è stato fatto uno studio sulle emissioni da parte di alcuni veicoli di diverso tipo: Euro I, Euro II, Euro III ed Euro IV, sia diesel che benzina. I risultati sono stati allarmanti: l’inquinamento dei veicoli diesel (che sono sempre più in aumento sulle strade italiane) risulta essere anche 50 volte maggiore rispetto ad un motore benzina Euro IV. Il problema viene solo parzialmente risolto dal FAP (filtro anti-particolato).
Quindi il problema è tutt’altro che in diminuzione. Il trand è in crescita. E le conseguenze possono essere molto più gravi di quello che normalmente si possa pensare. Problemi respiratori, affaticamenti cardiaci e nei casi più gravi formazione di tumori sono alcuni esempi.
Purtroppo al momento le alternative sono scarse poiché al momento i combustibili fossili sembrano essere l’unica fonte di energia possibile per i 30 milioni di veicoli circolanti sulle strade italiane. Tecnologie all’avanguardia come l’idrogeno o il solare sono alle prese con problemi tecnici (e molto più spesso volontà politiche). Quindi l’unico modo per pensare ad un miglioramento è migliorare l’efficienza dei motori attuali, magari sviluppando nuovi filtri. Purtroppo sono solo misure provvisorie che possono solo rallentare il vero e proprio “avvelenamento” in atto in alcune zone d’ Italia.
